Task Management
In Fashionupdater it is possible to easily manage tasks. These are always linked to a message related to a model or conversation already present in the Workspace and can be created in two different ways:
Add a New Message as Task
To create a task, select the model or conversation to which the task will be linked.
Select the Message as task option under the text field.
By default you will see the My task option selected which involves assignment to your list. You can also decide to assign the task to other users by tagging them in the message. In fact, if the Message as task option is active when creating the message, the new task will be assigned to tagged users.
Once the message is added, users to whom it was assigned will see a gray badge next to the Task Manager item in the main menu that will remind them of the task to complete until it is actually marked as completed from the task list.
Add a Task Starting from an Existing Message
To create a task starting from existing messages, select the model or conversation and locate the message to which the task will be linked.
Position your mouse over the message and click the Add to Tasks action button to create the task with the same text.
By default, you will see the Assign to my tasks option selected under the text field. This means only you will see it.
To assign the task to another user, similar to how it works for tags, type @ or click the @ button on the right and select the username or user group from the menu.
You can also keep the Assign to my tasks option selected.
Users to whom you assigned the task will receive a notification alerting them and will see a badge in the main menu reminding them of the task pending completion.
When a task is marked as completed, you will receive a completion notification from the user who completed it.
Add a Task to a User Group
When you assign a task to a User Group, all group members:
Receive a notification of the assignment
View the task among those assigned to them
Task Completion
When any member of the group marks the task as completed, the status will be automatically updated for all other members of the group as well.
Task Reopening
If one of the members reopens the task, the status will be returned to "in progress" for the entire group, making the task editable and collaborative again.
