# Text notes

Create, edit, and share formatted notes

**Notes** are formatted text documents attached to a Model, Conversation, or Chat. They are useful for specifications, meeting notes, summaries, and information that must remain editable.

## Create a note

1. Open the item where you want to work.
2. From the composer, choose the action to create a **Note**.
3. Enter a title and content, apply formatting, and save.

While editing, you can use the available mentions. Fashionupdater keeps a local draft when needed to reduce the risk of losing unsaved changes.

## Visibility

In Models and Conversations, authorized users can make a note visible or hidden from Viewers. In Chats, access is based on participation instead.

A note that is visible to Viewers can still be opened only by people who can access its parent Model or Conversation.

## Search, review, and export

Notes can appear in **Global Search**. Open a note from a result or from the original item's **Notes** tab.

Depending on your permissions, the note menu lets you:

* open or download a PDF;
* return to where the note was shared in the conversation;
* review its change history;
* delete the note.

Before deleting, confirm that the note no longer contains information the team needs.
