# History, activity, and contributors

The desktop app provides several complementary views for understanding what happened in a Model or Conversation.

## Open Model or Conversation history

1. Select a Model or Conversation.
2. Open its management menu.
3. Choose **Model history** or **Conversation history**.

The history window can include:

* **Model events** or **Conversation events**;
* **Recent accesses**;
* **Deleted messages**;
* **Deleted files**.

Use search, sorting, and the available tabs to locate an event. When an event still points to a message, select it to return to the thread.

## Review activity in context

The main activity pane shows the live conversation and system events in chronological context. Replies, pinned messages, files, Notes, and status changes remain connected to the original item.

## Review contributors

Open the **Contributors** tab in the details sidebar to see people who have contributed to the selected Model or Conversation and their available message counts. The tab is displayed only when enabled in the Workspace sidebar configuration and allowed by your role.

## File and Note history

Files and Notes can expose their own version or change history. Use the item's menu rather than the Model history when you need file replacements, versions, or Note-specific changes.
