# Tags and User Groups

Create the classifications used to organize Models

Tags classify Models by product information. User Groups organize people and can also control access. Both can be used as filters, but they serve different purposes.

## Create or edit a Tag

1. Open **Workspace Settings → Tags**.
2. Choose **Add Tag**, or select an existing Tag to edit it.
3. Enter the name, optional description, type, and available color settings.
4. Save the Tag.

Authorized users can create more than one Tag in a supported operation, reorder the list, or delete a Tag. Before deleting, review whether it is still assigned to Models.

Common Tag types include **Season**, **Brand**, and **General**. Use the types consistently so sidebar filters remain useful to the entire team.

## Assign Tags to Models

Tags are assigned from a Model's details or to several selected Models. The assignment changes classification and filtering; it does not grant a person access.

## When to use a User Group

Use a User Group when you need to:

* organize people into a team;
* grant Viewer access to selected Models or Conversations;
* mention a team;
* assign a group task.

See [User Groups](/en/workspace-management/workspace-administration/user-groups.md) for membership and access details.
