Workspace settings modification

Access to Workspace management in Business plans is only allowed to users with administrative roles such as Primary Owner, Owner and Admin. For more details visit the Users and Roles section.

Workspace preferences are applied globally. This means they will be valid for all users who have access to it, regardless of the role they have.

Accessing Workspace Settings

To access the settings choose Workspace Settings from the main menu at the top left.

• From here you can modify the Workspace name, the distinctive color and the default progress status for new content.

• The url chosen during creation is not modifiable. It identifies the Workspace itself within the platform and is essential for accessing the related content. In case of subscription to the Plus plan, the complete Workspace url is communicated directly in the automatic notification email sent to each user who is invited to collaborate.

Connection to a Cloud PLM System

If you use cloud-based PLM software, Fashionupdater allows you to connect internal application models with the corresponding models in the PLM software. This facilitates quick access to model specifications in the PLM.

• In the Workspace settings enter the main link for PLM access in the PLM Link field. Example: https://company.plm.com.

Configuring the PLM connection in models

• Open a model and click the Edit details button.

• In the PLM Url field, enter the complete link that refers to the same model in the PLM software. Example: https://company.plm.com/article/123456789.

• After saving the changes, the Open PLM button will appear at the top right, through which you can directly access the related model sheet in the PLM.

PLM Access and Permissions: Accessibility to the PLM system is conditioned by individual user permissions and configurations established within the PLM itself. While Fashionupdater does not directly modify or manage data within the PLM, it has introduced a new direct link functionality. These links, assignable in the model detail editing area, offer a quick and direct method to access relevant information in the PLM system.
