Main Interface

The Dashboard

The Dashboard is the main interface of the application. From here you can manage all the models in the Workspace, create new ones, assign tags and user groups to collaborate with other users.

In the v4 desktop interface, the workspace is organized into three main areas:

  • the left sidebar, with the main sections, filters, and attention badges;

  • the central list, which shows the items for the selected section;

  • the work area on the right, where you can read messages, manage files, and view the selected item's details.

The top menu bar contains the button to add new content, the one to access user preferences (top right) and in the center the field for global search within the Workspace.

Search results also provide contextual tools based on the selected category:

  • in Models and Conversations you can use Broadcast Message and Export CSV

  • in Files you can use Search exact match, Bulk Replace, Bulk Delete and Export CSV

For detailed instructions, see Message Management and File Management.

Top Toolbar and Global Search

Home shows a quick overview of your recent work, such as recently opened models and open tasks.

Models and Conversations

In Fashionupdater information is cataloged thanks to Models and Conversations: use them to add messages, files, images, text notes and everything necessary to carry out your work and that of your team.

Once you have selected a model or conversation you can view the main information in the details column on the right: name, description, base size, progress status and cover image. Here you will also see the assigned tags and user groups, based on your account permissions.

User Menu

The User Menu shows your name and that of the workspace you are working on. From the main menu you can access the sections for managing your account and the entire workspace, based on your access permissions.

Notification Center

The Notification Center helps you understand when your attention is required regarding requests from your colleagues or new activities that have been assigned to you. In the notification center you will receive a red badge when a colleague mentions you within a conversation or model or when they assign you a task to complete.

The sidebar shows badges when there are items that require your attention:

  • Tasks shows open tasks assigned to you;

  • Models shows new messages in models you follow;

  • Conversations shows new messages in conversations you can access;

  • Chats, if available in your workspace, shows new chat messages.

For models, the badge appears only on models you have chosen to follow. Conversations and chats are considered already followed when you are part of them.

Filters

Tags help you organize models and allow you to create dynamic lists to easily find any content you are looking for. For example you can group and organize models by season, brand, collection.

You can add four different types of Tags to your Workspace:

  1. Season: to assign a specific season to a model.

  2. Brand: to assign for example a brand or collection to a model.

  3. General: useful for keeping models organized, for example men, women, pants, jacket, etc.

Assigning Season or Brand type tags to models will be useful, in addition to content organization, when generating PDF reports from text files.

Central List

Based on the selection of the main menu and the available filters, the Central List shows the loaded elements. From the central list you can select a model or a conversation to access shared content and files.

In this section you can act on multiple elements, for example to assign a tag or user group to multiple models in a single operation. See the section dedicated to content organization.

In Models, you can also filter the list to show only the models you follow. The filter remains active while you scroll and load more results; when you move to another section and return to Models, the filter is reset.

Messages and Files

If a model or conversation is selected from the Central List, you will immediately see the related section dedicated to adding messages and files appear on the right.

Message Field

Text field thanks to which you can compose messages and share files, which will therefore be immediately uploaded to the right place. When composing the message you have the possibility to tag other workspace users. If present, you can also tag the user groups assigned to the model or conversation you are working on: this way it is faster to reach the attention of all interested people.

Message as Task

From the message field you can also easily manage activities. Thanks to two dedicated switches placed under the text field, you can decide whether to transform the message you are writing into an activity linked to the selected model or conversation. In this case the message is added to the chat and at the same time is converted into the text of an activity that you can see by accessing the Task Manager item in the main menu.

Message Visible to Viewer Users

This switch placed under the message field allows you to add a message or file with the permission level that makes it possible to view it even for Viewer type users. Go to the Message Management section for more information on individual message permissions.

Details Column

In the right details column, the main details of the element selected in the central list are shown, such as name, description, progress status, etc. In case of model or conversation, the assigned tags and user groups are also visible in this section.
